1. Our Privacy Commitment
This Privacy Policy applies to the collection, use, disclosure and handling of personal information by Fabric Projects Pty Ltd and its related bodies corporate (collectively “we”, “us” or “our”), including personal information collected via our websites.
 
It explains the way in which we handle personal information (including credit-related personal information) collected in connection with the provision of goods and services in connection with the Fabric Projects website (Website).
 
We are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals and are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Act”) and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2014 (version 1.2) (“Code”). We collect and hold personal information about our customers, prospective tenants, tenants, contractors, agents and other third parties.

  • if you are a prospective or current tenant or a guarantor, information about previous property transactions and dealings you have had with us;

  • records of communications between us, including enquiries submitted through the Website;

  • payment information which may include bank account or credit card details;

  • education and employment history if you are seeking employment with us; and

  • publicly available information relevant for our business purposes such as ASIC searches.
     

Credit-related personal information
In some instances we may collect credit-related personal information about our customers, tenants and individuals who provide guarantees for our tenants.
Credit-related personal information may be collected in order to assess eligibility for credit arrangements or lease arrangements in connection with the Fabric Projects development.

The kinds of credit information we may collect include:

  • identification information such as name, date of birth, address and contact details;

  • information about financial circumstances including employment, income, expenses and savings;

  • information relating to credit worthiness such as court proceedings or publicly available insolvency information;

  • repayment history information including overdue payments or defaults.
     

Sensitive personal information
In limited circumstances we may collect sensitive personal information, for example where you apply for employment with us.
Unless permitted by law, sensitive information will only be collected with your consent.

3. How We Collect Your Personal Information
Generally we collect personal information directly from you including:

  • when you provide personal information to us;

  • when entering into commercial transactions such as service agreements or lease agreements;

  • when you provide information through our Website;

  • when you contact or correspond with us;

  • when you seek employment with us.
     

We may also collect personal information from government agencies or credit reporting bodies where permitted by law or where you have provided consent.
If we cannot collect your personal information we may not be able to provide services or conduct business with you.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about pages visited and time spent on the Website to help us improve the Website.

Credit-related Information

  • assess whether to accept an individual as a guarantor;

  • related entities within the Fabric Projects group;

  • law enforcement agencies or government authorities;

We do not sell personal information and we do not ordinarily store personal information outside Australia.

Each marketing communication will include an option to unsubscribe.
If you opt out we will comply with that request within 30 days.
We do not use credit eligibility information for direct marketing.

7. Access to Information
You may request access to personal information we hold about you and request corrections if the information is inaccurate or out of date.
Requests should be made to our Privacy Officer.
We will respond within 30 days.

8. Storage and Security
Personal information may be stored electronically or in hard copy form.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss or unauthorised access.
If information is no longer required and we are not legally required to retain it, we will destroy or de-identify it.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time and the latest version will be available on the Website.
